Product Description
Winchester Model 1873 Musket, caliber .44-40 WCF, featuring a 30-inch round barrel, full-length walnut military stock, tubular magazine, and lever-action repeating mechanism. Finished in blued steel with brass cartridge carrier, the musket variant was produced in comparatively small numbers and represents one of the rarest standard configurations of the Model 1873. Chambered for the original .44-40 centerfire cartridge, it combines military styling with the fast-firing capability that made the Model 1873 famous throughout the American frontier era.
This rifle was manufactured in 1894. It is in great condition considering age. There is very little pitting and everything functions as it should. There are what appears to be initials on the right side of the butt stock. The last two are M P but cannot make out what is at the beginning.
