This Japanese Type 14 Nambu pistol was manufactured in October 1943 during the height of World War II. Designed by the father of Japanese military handguns, Kijiro Nambu, the Type 14 served as the primary sidearm for officers and non-commissioned officers across the Imperial Japanese Army and Navy throughout the Pacific Theater. This mid-to-late war example was produced at the Toriimatsu Factory of Chuo Kogyo under the supervision of the Nagoya Army Arsenal. Its receiver features clean Japanese Kanji reading (14 Year Type), along with the standard Showa date stamp of 18.10 (October 1943). It displays the classic wartime oversized trigger guard-introduced to accommodate gloved hands in colder combat environments-and late-pattern knurled cocking knob, paired with ribbed hardwood grip panels.
