With the roof rack system installed, hard top and freedom panels can be added or removed, and the soft top can be easily retracted or raised on Wrangler JK models. The Wrangler JL requires you to remove the crossbars to adjust or retract your soft top. A true bolt-on installation that requires no modification to the Jeep's body, however, this rack may require cutting or trimming of your rear bumper, depending on the style of bumper.
