It's a good idea to have Shimano's TL-LR15 Lockring Removal Tool around for swapping your freehub body to a sleek new set of carbon hoops, whether you've got the new wheels yet or not. The solid steel tool works with Shimano rotors and cassettes, and is compatible with a 24mm wrench. We've always used Shimano and SRAM interchangeably, but Shimano leads us to believe there may be some compatibility issues if you try and use this tool with anything besides Shimano componentry.
