Product Description
The P.38 was developed to replace the Luger as the main issue pistol for the Wehrmacht as the Luger was significantly more expensive. The P.38 has 1/3 fewer parts, and those were mass-produced and interchangeable where the Luger parts were hand-fitted. The P.38 was also fitted 'loose' so it was much more tolerant of dirt and fouling. It features use of Bakelite in the grips, a double action mode in the trigger, and matching serial numbers on the metal parts. The magazines do not show S/Ns.
