The distinctly innovative optics utilize exotic glass types, from SCHOTT glass, consisting of multiple FL (fluoride) and HT (high-transmission) lens elements. The optical system yields an impressively bright image, with a guaranteed light transmission value of 92%. The exterior lenses are then protected from environmental abuse with ZEISS LotuTec protective lens coatings.
