Product Description
While not quite as warm as the top-of-the-world-worthy Expedition 1200 or 1400, the Rab Expedition 1000 -22F Degree Down Sleeping Bag is nearly a pound lighter than its burlier counterparts and uses the same hyperlight 850-fill hydrophobic European goose down for unsurpassed warmth and weight savings. Rab sandwiched all this insulation between layers of water-resistant Pertex Endurance and Microlight fabrics to keep us toasty and dry, even when the storm is blowing through the tiniest gaps of our tent and condensation is freezing to the walls. The Expedition 1000 uses a longitudinal baffle design with Flowgate technology in the torso to keep the down from shifting and leaving cold spots and an angled foot box for comfort and consistent insulation. We're only as warm as the air the bag traps, so Rab designed the Expedition with close-fitting neck and face baffles, an insulated collar, and a drawcord hood to prevent heat from leaking out. They also cut the bag with a roomy design to be compatible with down clothing when you need to sleep with some extra insulation.Extreme-weather sleeping bag with a -22F temperature rating850-fill hydrophobic down insulation retains heat in wintry conditionsRoomy mummy shape leaves room for extra layersWater-resistant Pertex fabrics keep moisture at bayFace baffle and draft collar hold heat near the headDry bag compression and cotton storage sacks includedMaterial[face fabric] Pertex Endurance, [lining] Pertex Microlight, Polygiene treatment, [hood, footbox lining] Pertex EnduranceInsulation850-fill European goose down, Nikwax hydrophobic treatmentShapemummyZipper3/4-length, left sideMax User Height6ft 4inShoulder Circumference31.5inHip Circumference25inFoot Circumference17.5inBag Length88.5inDraft TubeyesPocketszippered stashFill Weight2lb 3.2ozDegree-22FStorage SackyesStuff SackyesClaimed Weight3lb 9ozManufacturer Warrantylifetime
