There's a time and a place for paper thin, super stiff carbon fiber. And it's not necessarily on gravel bikepacking epics. Instead, Easton's EA50 AX Road Handlebar pushes the limits on what a handlebar can handle. It's a bit heavier than the EA70 model (Easton claims an extra 35g for the 42), but it's also much more amenable to the hard knocks life of the road less travelled. It's got a shallower drop and more flair than proper road race bars, which makes the drops more stable for rides that aren't just on smooth tarmac.
