The right rear of the trigger group is stamped ""INLAND"" and does not have the 5/6 hole opposite the mag catch. The type 3 hammer is marked ""IK"" is a Rock-Ola part. M1 carbine (M2 type) magazine release marked M. The rotary safety lever is marked ""SS"" in a circle. The inside of the operating slide is marked ""P"" and ""SS' on the outside bottom? The flat Type II bolt is marked ""EM-Q"" which is a Quality Hardware mark. The front sight is marked ""R"" which is an Inland mark. The front sight is a post set between two protective wings. The milled rear aperture sight is marked ""HI."" on the right which is an Inland mark. The Type 1 barrel band is marked ""AI"" on the buckle and on the right side of the band which are Inland marks. The inside of the four rivet upper handguard is unmarked. The potbelly stock is unmarked. The 15 round magazine is marked ""S1"" which is Inland. Overall this Inland M1 Carbine is in good surplus condition with an aftermarket sling, and oiler. This gun is most likely an import from Korea."
