Product Description
"The Mosin-Nagant was a rifle that dates back to CSAR Peter of Russia. The need for a repeating rifle has become evident, so he sent requests for proposal worldwide. Hundreds of proposals came in, and he liked the French design but he needed to ""buy Russian."" So he put two engineers in a design partnership. The design constraints were Simple, Russian robust, easy to fix with Simple tools, and did we say Simple? The Mosin-Nagant took two years to develop, but the result was the Model 1891. It served the Russians right through WWII. They are, in fact, battlefield tough guns. Repairs are accomplished with a flat blade screwdriver (the point of the bayonet) and a rock if persuasion is needed. This one is in good condition. There are scrapes and scratches on the stock as well as on the barrel."
