Product Description
"U.S. military issue Ithaca Model 1911A1 chambered in .45 ACP. This pistol was manufactured by Ithaca Gun Company in 1943 and is marked ""UNITED STATES PROPERTY"" on the frame. The slide is correctly roll-marked ""ITHACA GUN CO., INC., ITHACA, N.Y."" Serial number 596147 places production squarely in World War II. The frame bears an ""RIA"" stamp indicating arsenal refurbishment at Rock Island Arsenal, a common and desirable post-service rebuild marking. Overall Very Good military surplus condition. The parkerized finish shows honest service wear consistent with military use. Markings remain clear and legible. Frame and slide fit is solid. Grips show typical handling marks but remain intact with good checkering. A strong representative example of a WWII U.S. service sidearm that was arsenal maintained."
