Your transducer assembly secures to the mounting plate through 2 nylon thumbscrews. The downrod's post end securely attaches to your forward-looking sonar shaft's mount backets. Run your sonar's cables through the downrod to keep them safe. Use the 12""18"" telescoping handle which secures anywhere on the downrod through a self-drilled 1/8"" hole as an easy-to see pointer for the transducer's direction.
