Unlike red dot/reflex sights that project a reticle onto glass, the Spitfire AR Scope uses a glass-etched reticle. This configuration eliminates the star bursting effect from common astigmatism, and also allows the scope to be used with or without the red/green illumination – thus allowing the sight to continue to be used without batteries. The reticle itself is the DRT (Dual Ring Tactical) – a reticle design optimized for fast shooting at close range.
