The G2X MV utilizes SureFire's proprietary MaxVision Beam reflector to produce a powerful wide angled 800 lumen beam which has been optimized for the user's natural field of vision. The 800 lumen output level is powerful enough to temporarily impair a potential attacker's dark adapted vision, and can illuminate areas up to 115 meters away. Alternatively, the G2X MV features a low output level of 15 lumens which greatly increases the battery life and is well suited for more mundane tasks such as reading a map.
