The gas system is enhanced with a nitrided gas tube in order to better resist high heat and corrosion. Upper: Precision machined from forged 7075-T6 aluminum, then Black anodize hard coated to MIL-8625 Type 3 class 2. With enhanced dual retention anti-slip and anti-rotating handguards. Bolt Carrier Group: Tool craft 9310 steel bolt assembly with extra strength extractor springs that is nitride for increased durability. 8620 carrier, nitride treated, with a nitride treated gas key properly staked with grade 8 fasteners. A 7075 T6 aluminum charging handle is also included. The Gen3 PA10 receivers are functionally compatible with the Gen1 and Gen2 upper receivers, however, we recommend matching Gen3 lowers to Gen3 uppers for best appearance and performance. There are external cosmetic differences when mixing Gen1 with Gen2 and Gen3 upper and lower receivers that some may not find appealing. The AR10 platform does not enjoy a common design between manufacturers, like the AR15. As a result, there can and will be subtle differences in the parts kits of various manufacturers. Some parts, like the fire control group, are shared with the AR15 platform to preserve the options for upgrading. For best results, we recommend only using PSA PA10 parts with our uppers and lower receivers. We do not recommend using other manufacturers' parts in our products.
