Its durability is further reinforced by the hardened chamber face. At its opposite end the muzzle features standard 1/2x28 threading to support a variety of muzzle devices such as silencers flash hiders and compensators. The Comet ships with an installed thread protector and o-ring for range-readiness out of the box. With its sturdy construction the Comet barrel only weighs a mere 8.2 ounces with the thread protector installed or 7.9 ounces without the thread protector.
