Weighing just over two ounces, the Spoc is easily attached to your harness or stows in your pack until needed. It can be used as a classic rope clamp for ascents, a simple pulley, or as a pulley with a backstop for crevasse rescue operations. The cam, with an integrated spring mechanism, locks automatically and even grips your icy or muddy ropes during rescues. A cable pull allows you to easily open the backstop with one hand and can be fixed in the open position to use the Spoc as a simple pulley for hauling gear.
