Why is there an Environmental Recycling Fee? One day, your Aventon e-bike battery will reach the end of its useful life. When that happens, the battery must be handled and recycled properly to protect the environment, people, and propertyAventon partners with Call2Recycle, an industry-wide battery recycling program, to ensure e-bike batteries are safely and responsibly recycled and kept out of landfills. To support this program, a $15 Environmental Recycling Fee (ERF) is collected where applicable. This fee helps cover the administration of the battery recycling program, including:-Certified battery recycling and safe disposal-Recycling kits and safety materials-Transportation and logistics-Consumer education and compliance with recycling regulations When it&';s time to recycle your Aventon e-bike battery, simply drop it off at an Aventon authorized retailer participating in the Call2Recycle program. * The E-bike Battery Recycling Fee may or may not apply depending on your shipping destination.
