The Carbon CL II is an enhanced version of one of Steyr’s most popular hunting rifles. It comes equipped with an extremely light, stable, and durable carbon fiber stock. This makes the Carbon CL II suitable for use in virtually any condition from tundra to deserts. One of the Carbon CL’s more notable features is Steyr’s innovative Safe Bolt System or SBS. This unique system has a 2+1 safety function has three settings operated by a wheel selector mounted in the tang of the receiver. The first level deactivates the firing mechanism and the second level locks the bolt in place. The SBS also features a press-to-release tab that locks the switch down in the safe and locked position. The fire mode is indicated by a red dot. Other features of the Carbon CL II is a 20 MOA Picatinny rail for installing an optic of choice, and cold hammer forged barrel.
