The LEAP mount attaches to the host weapon with the ClickDrive, a Scalarworks exclusive design that utilizes a highly efficient clamp design which only requires the torque from your bare hands to securely clamp the mount to the rail. To ensure precise operation and unprecedented rigidity, the ClickDrive features an oversized hooded thru-hole to buttress the thumbscrew's shank, which is the maximum possible diameter to fit a Picatinny channel. A pair of hardened steel precision ground pins is press fitted to the clamp and act as guides. The ClickDrive also makes the LEAP completely recoil-proof thanks to a spring-loaded ball-detent.
