The Pro Hunter II SX is a prime example of Steyr's dedication to producing cutting edge firearms. It comes equipped with Steyr's innovative Safe Bolt System or SBS. This unique system has a 2+1 safety function has three settings operated by a wheel selector mounted in the tang of the receiver. The first level deactivates the firing mechanism and the second level locks the bolt in place. The SBS also features a press-to-release tab that locks the switch down in the safe and locked position. The fire mode is indicated by a red dot. The bolt of the Pro Hunter II SX is outfitted with four forward locking lugs that need to be rotated 60deg to unlock the bolt, and features a patented safety bushing and multiple gas ports. The safety bushing and gas ports offers an enhanced level of protection against unexpected, excessive chamber gasses and pressure.
