Straight out of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the Conjuror is the spell casting master of the dark arts for one&';s fishy needs. The Conjuror is the better casting and better sinking cousin of the Game Changer, one of the first iconic large streamers, but it is not a replica. It is related to the Game Changer within the family of swimming flies, but it&';s its own beast. We recommend a sink tip to help get this fly into the strike zone, but it will sink down by itself due to a hidden tungsten weight in the head. When we&';re guiding smallmouth, this fly is almost always on a rod. It&';s caught some bucknasty browns and has become a favorite among our bull trout customers. A stiff five-weight can handle the Conjuror, but the bigger the rod the better it casts especially with a sink tip.
