The patented design of the Rhino Arm enables quick and easy articulation of the shroud allowing the soldier to perform a myriad of tasks both in front of and behind the camera. A pivoting arc means that the soldier is no longer hunched over the NVG hoping to get the image enhancing gun-sight at close range. The Rhino Arms are easily installed or removed by the soldier quickly and without tools. All that is required is for the grunt hit or flex at the rear of the NVG shroud. Grit Guard prevents lenses from damaging the NVG during removal. If the NVG hits an obstacle the impact will be minimal and the NVG will break away and fall to the ground rather than be damaged along with the NVG. This is done without damaging the NVG or the helmet it is mounted to.
