Ultrabac(R) CD Vaccine is for use in healthy cattle and sheep as an aid in preventing enterotoxemia and enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens Types B, C and D. Although Cl. perfringens Type B is not a significant problem in North America, immunity is provided by the beta toxoid Type C and the epsilon toxoid Type D. Ultrabac CD consists of killed, standardized cultures of Cl. perfringens Types C and D, with an adjuvant. Uses: Aids in the prevention of enterotoxemia and enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens Types B, C and D. Key Features: Helps prevent clostridial diseases which continue to be of economic importance in cattle. Clostridium bacteria are universally present and produce potent toxins that can result in rapid death of otherwise healthy animals. Helps prevent enterotoxemia and enteritis caused by CI. perfringens Types B, C and D. Subcutaneous (SC) dose is 2 mL followed by a second dose given four to six weeks later.
