That&&';;s 30-40% less weight than normal performance fabrics. To make the fabric tough enough, we use nylon (then add a little stretch). The polyester version repeatedly failed our testing and cost us an extra year that we&&';;ll never get back. Every roll of fabric takes 6 hours to complete, using 44 gauge needles. Standard fabric takes 45 minutes and uses 20 gauge needles. Quality takes time. Mini-perforations are woven into the fabric to increase airflow, speed up dry time and decrease weight. They&&';;re small and mighty but do not dominate the aesthetic of the shirt. ToughMesh(TM) has a rating of UPF 35 - this means that you will get more protection from UV rays than a standard training shirt.
