This Valmet was Imported by Simpson LTD and marked on the rear right-hand side of the receiver as it curves at the bottom. The left side barrel chamber area is marked "MADE IN FINLAND" and the serial number "4268". The right side chamber is marked "CHAMBERED FOR 2 3/4" SHELLS". The inside forend metal is stamped "468". The receiver has the lion stamp on both sides. The bottom of the receiver is marked "MADE IN FINLAND". The receiver is serial matched to the barrels. The barrels are 25.75" with a dovetailed notch sight fixed to a serrated ramp at the front of the barrel. The rear sight is an adjustable tangent sight. There is also an adjustable Norma peep sight at the back of the receiver. The stock set is a checkered two-piece pistol grip with a fluted Monte Carlo comb and a ventilated rubber recoil pad.
