Rose and Scroll engraved side locks and receiver. Highly figured oil finished walnut stocks with checkered butt. Top rib marked with James Purdey trademark and address. Inlaid in gold #1 and #2 at top lever, breech and forearm. Comes housed inoak and leather partitioed travel truck case with cleaning rod and brushes. 14 1/2" LOP, 1 1/2" DAC, 2" DAH. Finish is very fine as English refreshed with 99% barrel finish with brillant bores. Wood is very fine with good checkering and minute impressions. Mechanically fine. Mfd - 1923.
