Kimber joins the race to create a micro compact with the Kimber R7 Mako Optics Ready Semi-Auto Pistol. The R7 Mako features a capacity of 11+1 rounds and also accepts a 13+1 extended magazine. The polymer grip module is textured and covers a large amount of surface area to guarantee a solid grip in the hand. The ambidextrous mag release area is scalloped, which is a very popular upgrade offered from top frame modifiers. The slide release is also ambidextrous. An internal fire control group is the serialized part of the firearm and includes Kimber's Performance Carry Trigger, that gives you an even pull and clean break. The R7 Mako OR is striker-fired, features a 4.3" barrel, and has an easy-to-rack, optics-ready slide. You'll notice the slide's hooded ejection port is right side only. This is to protect your choice of optic from venting gasses and brass without compromising reliability. Left-handed shooters with a thumbs-forward grip will want to be mindful of whether their thumb/s block the port. The slide also features tritium night sights that utilize the accommodating Glock sight cuts for a large variety of options.
