Presenting the ultimate shotgun for upland, sporting clays, target, and live pigeons, the Connecticut Shotgun Company RBL (round action boxlock) SxS shotgun is built to the highest of standards in New Britain, CT. Built on an Anson & Deeley boxlock design, more features were added to the model such as a double-bridged reinforced receiver and removable assisted opening mechanism. All steel parts are machined from solid billets of 86-20 steel. This shotgun is one of the early 2003 Launch Edition models with French gray finish and hand-engraving covering the whole receiver from tang to the bottom plate. The straight English stock is made of 2X-grade walnut and satin-finished. The RBL is equipped with gold-plated double triggers and automatic selectable ejectors. This shotgun comes with a Launch Edition case made of hardwood, tweed canvas, and leather corners & binding. Also included is a two-piece wooden cleaning rod, set of five proprietary flush chokes (skeet, improved cylinder, modified, improved modified, and full) with choke wrench and leather case, and the removable assisted-opening mechanism is also in the case. This shotgun is in fair condition, as the finish has some light usage markings throughout and a small indentation on the right side of the stock near the cheek area. Most notably, there is a crack that runs from the left side of the tang near the safety to the checkeringthere is no telling how deep this crack isand the stock is also beginning to separate from the tang at the upper right section of the tang above the action lever. The front bead on this shotgun is also missing. The barrels are in perfect condition inside and out and the receiver is also in very good condition. The checkering on the wood is sharp and the engraving on the receiver is also in very good condition, though the metal is not nearly as bright as it would have been when new.
