The Vltor CASV-14 Extended Upper Handguard Modular Rail System is a lightweight, versatile addition to enhance the performance of Springfield Armory M1A and M14 pattern rifles. The Extended Length of the CASV-14 incorporates a Full Length Picatinny Top Rail that runs from the front end of the handguard all the way back to the stripper clip guide, providing ample room for attaching virtually any optical sighting solution. The handguard Semi-Free Floats the barrel and is secured to 3 points on the rifle for rock solid installation. Contact points include the stripper clip guide, rear of the barrel and at the operation rod guide, with the barrel free floating from the op-rod guide forward for increased accuracy potential.
