Each VLF metal detector is capable of detecting a specific X-treme range of conductivity which produces a specific depth. The first cap the Garrett X-Length Metal Detector (aka Long Range Locator or Long Range Detector as it is sometimes called) has a unique X-Y axis design. This provides the detector with a compact self-contained search head. The only thing this detector won't do is cap itself. It's not a drop in replacement like many other metal detector re-sellers on the market. These have a very specific re-charge cycle.
