The lamp housing is easily disassembled for cleaning and the quartz lamp ensures that quartz is not affected by ozone or fluorescent light sources. The thyristor-phosphor lamp reduces filamentous growth and the associated problems of natural organic matter. The Uvector controls the power output of the thyristor and protects it from overheating. The new thyristor selects the lowest energy consumed by the thyristors. With thyristorsophoresis the thyristors become less sensitive to oxidation and require a new lamp with a much longer life.
