The design was approved by the late Condor founder Colonel Wayne Downing Jr. It includes all the functionality of a traditional hydration pack but enables it to carry more water. It also has a built-in pillow allowing it to be extremely comfortable. The extra-wide "spaghetti straps" allow it to be easily shifted from one shoulder to the other in a matter of seconds while the sculpted handholds and flat back panel allow it to be carried as a lumbar pad. The injection-molded EVA foam in the body and air bladder padding offer increased comfort and also provide a barrier between the contents and the air bladder.
