.60 caliber 33"rifled barrel Whitney Model 1841 "Mississippi" rifle manufactured circa 1853 with obvious Native use! Metal is a dark brown patina with scattered oxidation visible. Lock plate is dated 1853, wood shows some heavy usage as expected especially rear of the front barrel band. Traces of rifling remain visible in the bore. (AL7472)
