NSN, circa mid to late 19th century, .57 caliber, 44" Damascus octagonal barrel, this barrel was more than likely made in Turkey. Barrel is a dark brown patina with chiseled flower on top of flat. Lock plate and hammer have scroll engraving visible. Barrel is held in place with 4 brass capucines. Stock is good with light handling impressions visible. Stock is also decorated with mother of pearl inlays and incised carved designs. A few of the mother of pearl pieces are missing. Action holds at half and full cock. (AL6001)
