The Tech 4 X2's see a substantial power improvement over the previous generation Tech 3's as well as rigid CNC'd one piece caliper to help with braking power. The new internal sealing system reduces friction, allowing for a reduced spring rate. The reduced spring rate offers a lighter lever action, reducing rider fatigue while retaining Hope's phenomenal modulation. The new lever shape is designed to provide a more ergonomic shape for more control and more comfortable braking. There's now even a flat mount caliper option to accommodate the latest cross country bikes.
