Chris King, manufacturer of some of the best headsets in the world, decided to upgrade its NoThreadset 1-1/8" Headset with GripLock to put a little extra magic in your cockpit. The new GripLock replaces the older version's one-piece bearing cap with a new compression design. The new split ring design provides a more secure and safer interface (especially on carbon fiber steerer tubes) by increasing the surface area against the steerer. The NoThreadset still features the same sealed cartridge bearings that are fully serviceable and made (in-house) from surgical grade stainless steel. Chris King's constant contact seals offer solid protection against girt and grime and are easy to remove for maintenance. The NoThreadset 1-1/8" with GripLock fits frames with a 1-1/8" (34mm ID) straight head tube and forks with a 1-1/8" straight steerer tubes.
