The MAS 50 is a historically rich sidearm rooted in French military tradition and Cold War service. Utilizing the proven Browning system similar to the FN GP 35, it features an integral barrel feed ramp and a single-action trigger. A unique safety mechanism allows the hammer to be safely lowered by engaging the slide-mounted safety and pressing the trigger, locking the firing pin in place. Based primarily on the ModA^le 1935S, which MAS produced extensively, the MAS 50 also incorporates elements of the ModA^le 1935A-the same design that influenced the renowned SIG P210. With its heritage spanning both early French innovations and international adoption, this pistol saw service with the French Armed Forces, Police Nationale, and military and police forces in countries like Algeria, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Libya, and the Central African Republic.
