However, many golfers prioritize fitting the screen to their available space instead. Choose the factor that best suits your setup. Aspect ratio refers to the proportional relationship between your screen's width and height. Ensuring your screen dimensions align with your projector's image size prevents wasted space and maximizes your visual experience. Care & Use Keeping Your Impact Screen Clean Use clean, white golf balls without dirt, grass, or markings. Regularly clean your clubs to prevent turf and rust transfer, which also improves ball spin. Store your screen in a secure, dry location when not in use. Avoid long-term folding or packing in a box to minimize creases and wrinkles. Resources & Specifications Golf Impact Screen Care and Use Carl's Place Golf Impact Screen Specifications Choosing a Finish FAQs How Far Should You Stand From Your Impact Screen? For safety, maintain a distance of at least 10-12 feet from the screen while using it. Can You Iron or Steam a Golf Impact Screen? Ironing is not recommended, as it could damage the screen. To avoid wrinkles, unpack the screen immediately upon receipt, and if storing it, fold it loosely. If wrinkles are present, mounting the screen on a tensioned frame like ball bungees can help smooth it out. If ironing is necessary, use a low heat setting and iron only the backside of the screen. Can You Use Your Impact Screen Outdoors? Carl's Place Golf Impact Screens are intended for indoor use only. What Fasteners Should You Use to Hang Your Golf Screen? Ball bungees (6 or 9 inches) are recommended for secure and flexible attachment. Avoid fastening directly through the grommet holes, as this restricts movement, increasing the risk of ball rebound. Do not over-tension the screen; some flexibility is necessary. How Many Ball Bungees Are Recommended? The recommended number of ball bungees depends on the screen size. Refer to the Golf Impact Screen Specifications Document for a full list. How Do You Install Ball Bungees? Insert the loop end of the bungee through a grommet from the rear of the screen. Pull it through until the toggle ball reaches the back of the grommet. Stretch the bungee over the frame or pipe. Secure the bungee by attaching it to the toggle ball, creating a loop. What Size Grommets Should You Use? Carl's Place grommets have an outer dimension of 3/4" and an inner dimension of 3/8".
