Product Description
Manufactured more than 50 years ago, during a time of incredible strife throughout Eastern Europe. Heavy-duty steel and hardwood handle is still in pretty good condition, ready to dig any hole on your chore list. Makes a cool conversation piece too, ready to lean against the wall in your office, home or cabin. A historical relic from the heart of Germany's World War II occupation. In 1938, the nation of Czechoslovakia was forced to cede partial control of its territory to the growing German Third Reich. Seen at the time as a possible avenue to avoid a new World War, the territorial treaty was foolishly approved by both Great Britain and France. It took only until 1939 for Germany to steal the remainder, invading and dividing the country into a German-dominated Bohemia and puppet state of Slovakia.
