After the destruction of World War II and under the looming shadow of a coming Cold War, the government of Switzerland undertook a massive re-organization of its military and its emergency preparedness capabilities. It was due to this effort that the first iterations of what would become the classic Swiss Army Blanket were born. The design reached its zenith in the 1960's, and this reproduction is based off those versions. Iconic brown color with red stripes and sewn-on white Swiss cross.
