Do not attempt to disassemble the remote.For installation of DC to DC charger only:Locate the 4-pin connector attached to the DC to DC Charger.Remove the plastic dust cover from the 4-pin connector.Connect the 4-pin connector from the connection cable to the DC to DC chargerConnect the red wire attached to the connection cable to any 12V source in the vehicle - this will be used to power the display. Note: if the inverter will also be used with the display, connecting this red wire is not necessary.Feed the connection cable into the vehicle where you want to mount the display.Connect the RJ45 cable to the remote displayFor installation of the inverter alone or both DC to DC charger and inverter:Locate the RJ45 to RJ45 cable included with the remote displayConnect the RJ45 cable to the inverter remote port at one end and the remote display at the other end.Turn the power switch on the inverter to "remote" setting.The inverter on/off function is controlled by the remote display.Note: When the inverter is connected to the remote, the remote will receive power from the inverter, so the red wire on the DC to DC charger connection cable does not need to be connected. Tape off this wire to avoid accidental contact with conductive surfaces.Remote Operation:- Press and hold the select button to turn the display on. The display will show the Wagan logo during startup.- Press the up and down arrows to switch between viewsInverter status view: Press the select button to turn the inverter on/offInverter settings view: Press the select button to enter setting mode. Note, this will shut the inverter off in order to change the settings. Press the up /down arrows to switch between settings and the select button to change the setting. Once setting is complete, press and hold the select button for 3 seconds.
