Browning X-Bolt Pro SPR Bolt Action 6.5mm Creedmoor 18 inch Barrel 4+1 Rounds, Browning X-Bolt Pro SPR 6.5mm Creedmoor Bolt Action Rifle The Pro SPR represents the X-Bolt Series at its most polished, with a match-grade barrel, Cerakote finish, and ultra-lightweight carbon fiber stock that make it a standout performer. Despite its long list of premium features, it's still an X-Bolt at its core. And it starts with a steel receiver that is glass bedded within the stock. Glass bedding is a time-consuming process, but it's worth it because it creates an exact match between the action and stock-and because it free-floats the barrel. Free-floated barrels are inherently more accurate because they are allowed to vibrate, flex and move freely within the stock, WITHOUT interference from contact points. The Pro SPR comes equipped with an 18 inch match-grade, skip-fluted sporter barrel with a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake that reduces felt recoil by up to 76%. The barrel is hand-chambered for precise headspacing-again, a time-consuming process, and one that other rifle manufacturers often skip-which provides superior accuracy and shot-to-shot consistency. This special SPR version features a slightly belled muzzle that is threaded and is 4 inch shorter than the standard X-Bolt Pro for optimized use with suppressors. The barrel is bedded within a true carbon fiber stock that's lightweight, rigid and filled with a noise-dampening foam. Textured grip panels give you plenty of traction, even in rain or snow. The stock is lightweight, highly maneuverable, and impervious to the kind of wear and tear that would damage hardwood stocks. But all that accuracy doesn't mean a thing if the trigger lets you down. To that end, the X-Bolt comes standard with the 3-lever Feather Trigger that provides a clean, crisp pull with no take-up or creep and minimal overtravel.
