Butora Sensa Climbing Shoe, The Butora Sensa is Butora's approach to the classic slipper. Unlike other slippers, the Sensa is down-turned for more aggressive performance. The Sensa also features a new to climbing shoes, EdgeTek, wraparound midsole technology. Instead of using a traditional midsole that is only on the plane of the sole, the Sensa uses a midsole that curves up into the front rand. This prevents toe bulge and creates increased edging performance. Another first for climbing shoes is the use of a knit upper that is sewed in one piece, in the form of the last. Unlike other knit climbing shoes, the Sensa does not start with a flat piece of material that is turned into the shape of a shoe, it begins as the shape of a shoe (cool hidden fact, if you look carefully you can see the size sewn into each shoe at the base of the footbed).
