Bibimbap, Spicy Korean 'Mixed Rice' With Sesame, Carrots and SpinachLiterally translates to 'mixed rice' but that doesn't even begin to describe this Korean staple. The key component of this meal is gochujang-a deep red, spicy and immensely flavorful sauce made from Korean chiles and fermented miso. Fry an egg and slide it on top and you'll swear you're in your favorite Korean restaurant.Loaded with carrots, shiitake mushrooms, zucchini and spinachMedium grain white riceChiles provide cardiovascular and immunity benefitsGluten-freeVeganThis product has been lab tested with an extended shelf life and will have a minimum of two years to consume until its expiration date.Important WARNING for California ResidentsIngredientsBibimbapINGREDIENTS: (notice how many you can pronounce!)Carrots, Medium Grain White Rice, Onions, White Distilled Vinegar, Dried Zucchini, Gochugaru (Korean Red Chili Pepper), Brown Sugar, Dried Shiitake Mushrooms, Sesame Oil, Raw Sesame Seeds, Garlic, Red Miso Powder (Fermented Soybeans, Salt), Dried Spinach, Sea Salt, Dried ScallionCONTAINS: Sesame, SoybeansFAQSIs this meal spicy?Yes, this meal has a good amount of spice. It is a Bibimbap, after all! Ours contains a house-made Gochujang sauce, made from Korean red chiles and fermented soybeans. Heat is subjective, so if you are the type to find a medium salsa way too hot, then you might steer clear. If you have a tolerance for and enjoy spicy foods, you'll find this dish to be a nice medium-level heat. What is Bibimbap? This popular Korean staple combines steamed white rice, with the spicy-sweet-umami flavors of Gochujang sauce, and sauteed vegetables. Traditionally it's served with a fried egg over the top, and while we have come very close to the real thing, this was one component that we couldn't replicate in a camp meal. We encourage you to add this on your own, though it's perfectly delicious without! SEE FAQ PAGECooking DirectionsBibimbap DirectionsX Tear pouch open and REMOVE oxygen absorber.
