MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) Spherical Construction is the next level of protection. MIPS Spherical uses two layers of EP-Premium Foam in the low friction liner to release from the shell of the helmet to reduce rotational forces from impact, in any direction a crash may occur. The exterior liner and shell can rotate independently during an impact. Giro's Hammerhead Design adds extra protection from repeated impacts in areas where gates commonly hit a helmet.
