After development in a prestigious elite sports car wind-tunnel ENVE states the 45 Disc is optimized for tires 25-28mm in width but will happily roll on approved 32mm tires -- for the less maintained roads or even a little bit of a gravel-lite side-dish. ENVE further fortifies the 45 Disc construction with molded spoke holes that don't disrupt the carbon fiber layout as do drilled holes. This method leaves intact all the neighboring carbon fibers for increased strength and it also means the spoke face is lighter and maintains higher spoke tension for reduced truing needs over time.ENVE laces the 45 Disc to center locking Industry Nine 1/1 hubs for their proven durability and affinity for all-road racing performance.
