Aloha Aina Blend Kona, Ka'u & Hamakua Blend, Medium - light notes: honey, caramel, cashew, red apple, and chocolate - covered berries. Dark roast notes: dark chocolate, almond, dried plum, cinnamon, full and balanced. Origin: 100% Big Island, Kona, Ka'u, & Hamakua coffee Last Roast Day: October 31st, Halloween Aloha ina, Big Island Blend Aloha ina translates to love of the land and it's a core value of the native Hawaiian people and all of us at Big Island Coffee Roasters. So this month's featured coffee is a Ka'u, Hamakua, and Kona blend coffee that celebrates three Big Island coffee growing districts and two of the most common coffee varieties on Hawaii Island: Typica and Caturra. Aromas of chocolate, honey, and nuts permeate the cup, accented by notes of apple and berry. Chocolate is a common note in Typica variety coffees, especially within Kona & Hamakua, and apple, citrus, and berry notes are common among Caturra varieties, especially within Ka'u and Puna. Available throughout October 2021. Last roast day: Halloween. Recommended brewing: this Aeropress recipe will produce an exceptional cup.
