Scrape and sand old vinyl coatings which are not adhering, clean and dry surface. Remove antifouling paint in poor condition with Interstrip Semi-Paste 299E. BARE FIBERGLASS: Begin by scrubbing well using soap and water and a stiff brush. Rinse with fresh water. Sand with 80 grade (grit) paper. Remove sanding residue. Wipe with Fiberglass Solvent Wash 202.BARE WOOD: Sand with 80 grade (grit) paper. Clean with Special Thinner 216. Apply 1st coat thinned 10% with VinyLux Solvent 355.BARE METAL: Sandblast and apply 4-5 coats of Interprotect 2000E/2001E. If blasting is not possible (or if more than 2 hours has passed since blasting) sand or grind with coarse emery cloth and apply a self-etching primer prior to Interprotect 2000E/2001E or Interprotect 3000/3001.DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT ON ALUMINUM HULLS AND OUTDRIVES.APPLICATION INFORMATION: Apply 3 coats of VC Offshore*. BURNISHING: After the final coat of VC Offshore* has cured, wet sand with 400 grade (grit) paper, removing any imperfections in the coat. Burnish with fine bronze wool until a shiny, super smooth finish is obtained. Apply an extra coat if wet sanding or burnishing. Conventional Spray Pressure Pot: Pressure: 3.44-4.08 bar/50-60 psi (gun pressure), pot pressure 10-15 psi. Tip Size: 1.8-2.2 mm/70-85 thou. Spraying of antifouling paints is prohibited in Canada. Other Do not apply thin coats. Do not apply VC Offshore* in thin coats as this will lead to a rougher surface and additional sanding. It may also lead to premature fouling. Product temperature should be minimum 10C/50F and maximum 29C/85F. Ambient temperature should be minimum 10C/50F and maximum 29C/85F. Substrate temperature should be minimum 10C/50F and maximum 29C/85F. Apply to clean, dry, properly prepared surfaces only. Bare surfaces must be sanded. Do not apply VC Offshore* over non-vinyl antifouling paints. Do not apply VC Offshore* over aluminum.
