Taking the length and rounding up gives you the required cable length. It is recommended that cables have a 8"(200 mm) minimum radius. To allow for engine movement outboard applications it is necessary to add 3 ft.For Replacement of Existing Cable: If you removed the old cable, lie cable out flat and measure from tip to tip, rounding up.
